Congratulations to Audrey Gallier, our 2014 National You Be The Chemist Challenge® Champion, for being selected to attend the 2015 White House Science Fair!

Since 2009, President Obama has annually hosted the White House Science Fair, an event that celebrates young science fair champions, researchers, and winners of science competitions nationwide. This year’s fair will include a special focus on broadening diversity in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). This is the first time that a Challenge Champion has been invited to attend the White House Science Fair.

Audrey is excited to attend the fair – she says: “I am excited to meet other students who love science and see their experiments, and I’m definitely looking forward to being at the White House and seeing the president!”

We couldn’t be prouder of Audrey, and we’re excited that the Challenge program has been recognized as one of the top science competitions in the country!

You can watch the event live stream on Monday on the White House website, and follow along via twitter updates from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (@whitehouseostp). We’ll be posting Audrey’s photos from the event on our Facebook page and Twitter feed.
