Predicting the future of science education in the U.S.

A recent article on the TIME magazine website tackles FAQs and misconceptions about the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), a “series of goals and best practices that are intended to inform teachers’ science instruction.” Developed by a collaboration of state representatives and based on a framework created by the National Research Council, the NGSS is not a curriculum – but it might be shaking up the way science is taught in states that adopt it.
