Audrey had a blast today! She started off with a special student round table discussion with senior White House leadership about women and girls in STEM – Audrey was one of only 11 students invited to participate. Afterwards, she was able to view student projects, mingle with other young scientists, meet President Obama, and more. She was even chosen to stand behind the podium with a small group of other students while the President gave a speech in the East Room of the White House!

If she had to describe her day in one word, Audrey said, it would be “awesome!” She was impressed by how nice President Obama was, and how genuinely interested in science, and she loved meeting other students and hearing about their projects. Her favorite student project was a software that could help stop cyber-bullying.

If you missed the live feed of the event, you can replay the video at anytime. The President’s speech begins at 2:36:20.
