Workshop Information:

Procter and Gamble, the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio and the Chemical Educational Foundation are excited to offer a FREE Essential Elements Workshop for Daisy (K-1st grade) and Brownie (2nd-3rd grade) Girl Scout Troop Leaders on Saturday, February 16 from 10 AM to Noon at the Cincinnati Girl Scout Center, 4930 Cornell Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242. Participants should plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the workshop to check in and do an online Pre-Workshop survey (can be done on a smartphone).

This workshop will make use of You Be The Chemist activities selected to support several of the new 2018 Girl Scout badges. Participants in the workshop will learn the 5E instructional model by experiencing and practicing it. This model can be applied to other girl scout activities.

Participants will receive a flash drive with over 50 hands-on You Be The Chemist activities to use with their troops. These activities make use of low cost supplies that can be purchased at grocery / department stores.

More information will be sent to registered participants a week before the workshop. If you have any questions, please contact the workshop instructor Larry Sernyk by email at
