After several blocked attempts, U.S. aerospace manufacturer Orbital ATK finally succeeded in docking their Cygnus module on the International Space Station (ISS) yesterday! Containing food, supplies, tanks of nitrogen and oxygen, and an array of science experiments, the module was a welcome sight to the six astronauts living on board the ISS.

In 2016, the states of Maine, Mississippi, and Rhode Island will all hold their very first Local You Be The Chemist Challenge® competitions! That means that 41 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia will all send representatives to the 2016 National Challenge – and our staff is working to add even more new states!
Whether or not there’s a Minecraft enthusiast in your life, you’ve probably heard of the wildly popular world-building game. Now, a team of researchers in the UK has created MolCraft – a version of the game that teaches students about biochemistry!
The Breakthrough Prizes, founded by several prominent tech leaders, recognize scientific achievements the way actors are lauded for their work – with glamour and some serious cash. Could scientists be the new rock stars? We certainly hope so!
