Dawn Chartier and her second grade class at Bullock Creek Elementary School in Midland, MI have been selected as the winner of the 2015 Earth Day Challenge for their video submission: “Chemistry Is Not A Mystery!”
The class explored a variety of hands-on science activities in the classroom that helped them to understand how chemistry is woven into everyday materials – and everyday life! Check out their winning video:

Chartier’s class will use the $1000 prize money to support future STEM projects and iPad technology that allows them to integrate science concepts into their reading, writing, and math curricula. Congratulations to all of these hard-working students and their creative, science-loving teacher!
